I can remember the first time I saw Twitter.  I remember wondering how in the world you could ever get information from 140 characters.  Turns out you can learn A LOT from 140 characters.   No matter what subject you teach, or what aspect of education you are involved in… Twitter has something to offer you.  Don’t believe me?  Check out this amazing list… there truly is something here for everyone.  It’s like a candy store, only the kind of candy that is GOOD for you!  Whether you have a question, are just looking for ideas, or want to discuss an educational topic, you will find it there.  Imagine shouting out your window and having people shout back from around the world.  Pretty powerful, huh?

Each week, on Friday evening, at 6pm central time, I take a moment to hop onto Twitter and join in to #gtchat.   I look forward to a chance to connect with other gifted ed teachers, parents, and advocates around the world.   I created a Wordle from the transcript of the chat on 11/13.  You see many things here… @DeborahMersino is front and center because she is our #gtchat pioneer who laid the groundwork for us.    We connect, help each other, and learn with each other.  Each week we share ideas,  advocate, and walk away with even more knowledge than we had before.  It’s a place to share and reflect.  Like I said, it turns out you can learn  A LOT in 140 characters.

Hope to see YOU on Twitter!
