At the METC Keynote “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future,” Adam Bellow said to never say you “Just Teach.” He’s right. Do you ever say that? If you really think about what we do everyday, it’s not about what people THINK it is. It’s not all collecting papers, writing in plan books, lining kids up in hallways, or taking lunch counts. It’s not even about shiny red apples. It’s so much more. We can see it as the hardest job ever, but just as easily we can realize what an amazing gift teaching really is. I mean, really, we get to LEARN everyday for the rest of our career? Pretty awesome when you think about it.
